Here is the Mod you’ve all been waiting for: The Lucky Block Mod! Now you can take your favorite Mod to-go with you on any tablet, phone or computer! Find the link to getting this mod below. This is one of the most popular mods ever created — as it provides players with thousands of possibilities that the Lucky Block could drop or spawn for you. Sometimes you’ll get really lucky and get a “Lucky Sword” drop or sometimes you’ll be unlucky and have an Evil Bob spawn and try to destroy you. The possibilities are endless in this mod and it’s super fun. Another spawn you might run into is a diamond/baby chicken drop, which drops around 20 diamonds from the sky as well as spawns a bunch of baby chickens around you.
You can start our on Creative Mode and spawn yourself a ton of Lucky Blocks or you can start on Survival Mode and craft them yourselves using 8 gold ingots and a dispenser in the middle. You can find the recipes to these below. You will also find out in your adventure on Survival Mode that tons of these blocks are spawned throughout the world for you to try out your luck with! This mod provides endless fun and is a magnificently fun one to own. I use it on every one of my mods as it never gets old.
Get the Lucky Block Mod
To get the Lucky Block Mod on PC please makes sure to follow the steps below. If you would like to get the Lucky Block Mod on Pocket Edition tap here.
Step 1: Import the Texture Pack & Lucky Block Mod
Open up Minecraft and in the Launcher, which is the first window that pops up before you press Play, click on Edit Profile as shown below. Now change (Use version) to 1.8 by scrolling down the dropdown menu as shown in the second picture below. The Minecraft game needs to be opened at least once in 1.8 before you can move onto Step 2 so make sure to press Play once you press Save Profile. Once the Minecraft game starts you can close it right away and move onto the next step.
Step 2: Download Forge on your PC or Mac
The second step to installing the Lucky Block Mod is to get Forge. The latest Lucky Block Mod works on Forge 1.8, which is also the latest major version of Minecraft. To get Forge is fairly easy. Search Google for Forge 1.8 or search just for Forge. Now find the Download Latest option and click on Installer as seen below. Make sure you’re downloading version 1.8 and not 1.8.8 or 1.8.9. You can also click on Installer-win if you are on Windows and would rather do it that way.
Step 3: Install Forge
Once you’ve downloaded the Forge file open it up. If you downloaded it from the Installer you will see a window like shown below. Just click on Ok as long as Install client is selected.
Step 4: Find your Minecraft Library Folder
On Windows 7, 8, 10, find your minecraft folder by opening up your start menu and typing in Run. Once you’ve typed in Run, type in %appdata%.minecraft and you’ll be in your .minecraft folder. Or you can just type in %appdata% in the Run program and find the minecraft folder. Once you’re in the minecraft folder move onto Step 5.
On Mac, open up Finder and at the same time, hold down the alt key and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen and find the Library option on the dropdown. Then find the minecraft folder in Application Support. Open that up and move onto the next stop.
Step 5: Create your Mods folder
Now create a new folder called mods if you haven’t already in the minecraft folder. Place the Lucky Block Mod .zip into the mods folder. You can get the Lucky Block Mod by clicking/tapping here*. Once downloaded, copy over your .zip file into the mods folder. You will then have successfully added your mod.

Step 6: Change profile to Forge and Run Minecraft
Open up Minecraft once again and on the bottom left change your profile to the Forge profile in the dropdown. Once you’ve done this you’ll be ready to play! Start up Minecraft like you would normally do and create a new world (this is important as you cannot use a newer version of Minecraft with your 1.8 Forge version). If you want to make sure nothing goes wrong, call your world whatever you’d like and add a 1.8 to the end of the name somewhere. This way you’ll know not to play on the wrong world.
